It always was your helpful word Of praise to one who tried; And to a little child who failed And on your shoulder cried. It also was your tender touch For us who were in pain, You always helped us come right back And feel quite well again. And then it was your welcome word That echoed when we'd come, And when we saw your smile that cared The kids would all run home. To me, your gifts are many, Though they may seem small to you, Because you serve effectively By what you say and do. And your gifts are all still needed And we know they'll always be, You're still my favorite Mother And you mean the world to me.
